Digimon World Next Order Will Come Out with New Features

On February 22, 2023, Japan will release the Nintendo Switch version of Digimon World -Next Order- International Edition (spelled 0rder rather than Order). In 2016, the PS Vita version of the game debuted, then in 2017, the PS4 version went global. The International Edition was the name given to the PS4 version in Japan.

“We are pleased to Digi-debut this popular title on new platforms so that fans can return to the magic of Digimon World: Next Order or so that a whole new Digi-generation may experience it for the very first time,” said Summer Nguyen, brand manager at Bandai Namco Entertainment America.

Prior to becoming worldwide on PS4, the Digimon game was first available only in Japan for the PlayStation Vita. It allows for the participation of up to two partner Digimon at various evolution phases. Players can provide battle directions to their companion Digimon during combat; otherwise, they move independently.

Players can “recruit Digimon, upgrade buildings, raise crops, and develop the city into a gigantic metropolis” in the town of Floatia, which they can expand throughout their adventure.

When Next Order was released, it garnered generally favourable reviews (a Metacritic score of 68), however some critics criticised the game’s repetitious gameplay. However, it was something for devoted Western fans who had been waiting a while for a new Digimon game.

Launching

Habu specifically referred to a remake, remaster, or transfer of the original Digimon World, a timeless JRPG with vibrant graphics and a compelling story. When it was released in 1999, this game was well regarded, and other profitable sequels followed, including the excellent and underappreciated Digimon World 3.
